Tigers for Brains

Now that the Thanksgiving break is over, we're back in full swing at Tamarind.

Our big Workshop Proposal project is due for Marge's class in one week, and people are starting to stress a little bit about it. Fortunately, I've been working on my proposal off and on for the past few months and have quite a bit done. That's not to say that I'm not worried though...

Nope... I have sports things on my mind and I'm nervous. Not only do the Packers have a huge game against the Cowboys for first place in the NFC, but my Missouri Tigers have an even more monumental game against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday.

In case you live in a college football free world, the Missouri Tigers (previously ranked #4), beat the feathers off the undefeated #2 Kansas Jayhawks. Since #1 LSU had lost their game to Arkansas on Friday, the Tigers somehow became the top team in the nation:

The top two teams in the BCS rankings at the end of the season get to go to the National Championship Bowl Game, and if the season ended today, the Tigers would totally be in... which is just crazy.

Unfortunately, the Tigers still have to play in the Big 12 Conference Championship game against Oklahoma. Most of the media people are expecting them to lose, despite their #1 ranking. (OK handed Mizzou their only loss this season and the Tigers have not traditionally had much success against them.)

So now I'm nervous about football and angry at all of the people that say that Mizzou doesn't deserve to be ranked as the top team in the nation. I hope that the Tigers beat the Sooners on Saturday so that I can relax and focus on my proposal.
